Jobcentre - Again!!!

Hi everyone,

Having terrible bother with the Jobcentre, seems to be one thing after another. As per my other thread, i was told by my personal advisor i didn't need to go to sign back on for a month, obviously she was wrong, and i didn't get paid. That got sorted the day after and i got that money. I went to sign on on Friday just gone, she was nowhere to be seen. Another advisor checked her notes and guess what, she had me down as 11:20 not the 12:20 i had on my letter...there's a recurring pattern of ineptness here. Anyway, she's been moved onto another job so i've been reassigned. Good riddance to ya, nowt but trouble since i met her

Anyway, her colleague signed me on on Friday, sorted.

Letter came through the door today saying my reason wasn't good enough (for that non-attendance back in March) and i would be having my benefit stopped from today the 14th. Even though i've got proof and quite obviously 'Natalie' was on a wind up, some fella behind a desk has decided i'm a liar. Of course i'm livid, and my new advisor 'Dawn' is going to bear the brunt of it on Tuesday when i go and see her. I'd do anything for a job to get me away from the stressful, life sucking leech that is the jobcentre!!!! They just don't seem to want to help, only make it 10x harder fighting them for money to live on while being rejected from jobs left right and centre

  • They appear to make ones life so unbearable going to the job centre if kind of makes you hurry up to get a job.
This is in a way a good thing for the workshy but a little harsh on the genuine unemployed.

Most jsa advisors and management are not interested in helping you out at all. All they want is to stop your benefit any how they can.. And make your life a misery..

I have found all the advisors I have ever come in contact with to be perfect. They'll offer advice on what to claim, how to go about it and what other help is available. Maybe it's you. They do not, in my experience, try and stop benefit they are there to help you by encouraging you to look for work.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Im in full time work at the moment have been for over 12 months but all the ones i came across were awful. No interest in helping you out Looking for any excuse to stop your claim.
On another note i have a family member who works as a jsa advisor. They have told me they MUST stop or suspend at least a couple of claims a week any way they can...

one of the many 'advisors' I have dealt with told me they had quotas to meet and also had to get a certain amount of people in work too.

Most of my experience at the job centre has been pretty pants, it just adds to an already stressful situation for me.

I have learned to nod, grin, agree and do as they say and then do my own research, normally on this forum:D or from the younger members of the family, who seem to know exactly what they are entitled to:cool:

Correct! My family member has told me loads of times that under this govt It is a nightmare they have seen many of the other staff who work there chuck paperwork in the bin.. They have no interest in helping people all they want is to stop there money.
