Options
a friend helped me out last year by opening a current account in his name as i not enough id to open my own. stupidly due to account being overdrawn i kept all my and his details in purse with card, it was stolen and overnight there was £550 taken out in 'payday' loans. What can either myself or him do about this, I really desperate to resolve this

Get your friend to speak to the bank and the payday loan company. What he tells the bank about where the card was i have no idea.

Report the ID theft to the bank and police
It is his account, isn't it, even if you have been using it - so he needs to be the one making the report and will probably have to explain why he had temporarily put his card etc into your purse
    Good luck

    Follow the good advice above.

After this is done, speak with a bank to get your own account opened.

OH has a Lloyds TSB Current Account, and didn’t need to provide any ID to open it as it was done on the phone.
