It takes ages to load first time (but always has)

It makes my computer crash when in the middle of work (many times a day) then reboots and to add insult says :-

"Well this is Embarrassing". ...

The computer restarts at least 20 times a day

When it reboots it looses the latest update of Adobe Acrobat I have lost count how many times I have re-uploaded

It looses the log ins to forum sites like MSE sol I have to log in again!

It then says it has recovered from a serious error - the only error I have is installing Firefox at the start

It can be of no coincidence that you can not contact firefox by email - they obviously know how useless it is and don't want the hastle

Why do they put out such inferior software?

If you can start Firefox in safe mode, disable the add ons to see how it is then, if fine, enable one add on and so on until it slows down again

Or you could install Palemoon and run it without add ons, then add the same ones as firefox in ones until it slows down

    Bearing in mind:

    - you haven't told us which version you're running
    - you haven't told us which add-ons you've got installed
    - the number of people who use Firefox without any problems
    - you didn't pay anything for Firefox

I don't think you can blame the "inferiour" (sic) software.

Why not just install a different browser, like Chrome?

i much prefer opera to firefox and it never crashes these days unless i have lots of u-tube type stuff running
firefox is better if doing online pdf but it crashed for me doing this this week so maybe an earlier version might be better if you uninstal and go bark in time?

If you think it's so rubbish, why do you still use it?

    Plenty of other browsers! :undecided

I wonder if this is really Firefox related. One application shouldn't be able to bring down the operating system (Windows XP and later). And Firefox is extremely stable here.

If I were you I'd try a different web browser for a while, maybe Google Chrome.

Something else to try: run Firefox without add-ons. From the menu go to Help and select the Restart with Add-ons Disabled option.
