Hiya, I posted about our kitchen but we also need a new bathroom from top to botom, and may need re-designing as its a seperate toilet/bath so will knock a wall down.
Do homebase etc. come out to design and quote or do we take measurments in?
Any recommendations of who to buy from and differences, average price for middle range suite, tiling and flooring for small ish bathroom?

I had my 2 bathrooms done by a great independant co in the North west, round Manchester actually.
If you post what area you live in, someone may have some recommendations for you in the area you live, instead of using a big shed. They may be cheaper too and give better service.0 -
Im near to Reading/Basingstoke in the South East, thanks0

Hi, did you find anyone, we are just about to do the same.. We are in wilts.0

We have also always used small independent companies and found them much better especially for after sales service, which you just don't seem to get with the big shed-type places. They are also competetively priced and sell a much better quality of product.
If it's any use I can recommend companies we have previously used in the Hampshire and Dorset areas and think these companies would cover W.Sussex, Surrey and possibly Wilts.......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Hi
We're in W Sx so would be glad of a recommendation.0 -
Hi, thanks for all the replies.
Phoebe who did you use in Hampshire?
So far Ive looked in Ripples, the most expensive but nice! Homebase, B&Q and Bath Store but no small local independent companies yet.
Will see who is in the local area0 -

We used Ripples in Winchester and wouldn't really recommend them. They sell nice-looking and expensive products but our basin unit ended up having to be replaced three times (and still isn't right) due to quality issues.
One thing to be aware of is that they don't employ the fitters; you pay the fitters directly. Ours was ok but nothing special, and the work wasn't as good as we expected for the price.0 -
I like https://www.onlinedesignerbathroom.com, they have a good choice of products.
Based in Scotland but they do deliver

Online shopfronts are fine until something goes wrong. When it does and it will, then they are total pants.

Also in Scotland - find someone by personal recommendation and experience, not via web searches.0
