Hi,

Please can anybody help, i have been claiming JSA for over a year, i had a call yesterday with a job offer :j i found this job myself. I am due to start tomorrow.

I have an appointment Monday morning with work program, this is the first appointment since january! as they keep ringing and changing date... so, please does anybody no what i should do regarding appointment, also i want to claim the In work credit payment and the job start grant.

After looking at Direct gov website, its says i have got to claim this before i start work? i cannot do this as i start to in the morning, all of the phone lines are closed, will i miss out on this now?

    Hi,

    You have 5 weeks to claim the In work credit but an advisor needs to do it at the jcp. Job grant is paid automatically as long as you claimed for 26 weeks without a gap

    sorry - forgot to add you need to return yr green es40 to sign off jsa so jcp knows you have gone into work
