HP Sauce alternative?

I've been down branding a lot of foods, and in the main, not noticed any difference. I've even got the Sainsburys basics tea bags after reading about them on here, and they're fab!
The one thing I struggle with is HP sauce, nothing quite tastes likes it! Has anyone found o e that they enjoy as much, or is it one of those things that impossible to replicate!

Although it's not even made in UK anymore, it's a very English taste and I've tasted loads of other sauces and nope nothing tastes quite like it sorry. That's not to say that you can't find other sauces that you like though. My tip is to read the ingredient labels and go for something with exotic ingredients like tamarind (in HP) if you can find them0

branston brown sauce, i like it, can usually get it in home bargains or b and m. still a brand i know, but not as famous or popular so i find it a little cheaper.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0

Can't get a decent replacement IMO. Nor for Heinz Salad Cream.0

Never found a good replacement for HP, so buy when they're on special. Sometimes I collect a few sachets if we're somewhere for a coffee. To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

My problem too - in fact I tried an own brand salad cream recently and half of it's still left - I'm back on Heinz.
having said that a certain teenage boy hasn't noticed his 'put salad cream on it' sandwiches haven't incorporated the nectar that is Heinz

Branston pickle, blitzed in the food processor. Add a bit of vinegar or water. 1 jar makes quite a lot of sauce.0

Another one who can't find an alternative for HP brown sauce or Heinz Salad Cream. I do buy mine at Home Bargains though, or when on offer in supermarket.
I worked in America for 4 months few years back and the one thing I missed the most was HP sauce!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

I agree that there doesn't seem to be any tasty alternative to HP sauce.
I do find that Hellmans salad cream is even tastier than Heinz - didn't think I'd find anything tastier but IMHO it is
