BTFON Question

Hello.:)

I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong section!

We have BT broadband option 3 so get free BTFON and minutes.

We're going away next weekend and I was wondering if one BTFON account can be used on two devices at the same time?

I have the primary email address and secondary ones can't be used to connect to BTFON, however both my husband and I are going and I was wondering if one BTFON account can be used to connect to BTFON on two devices at the same time? Or would we have to alternate our usage?

where in the world are you going?
if your at home and you are fon members, then you will have either a la fonera, fonera+, or a BT box that outputs a BT_fon or Fon_ wifi signal.
instead of conectiong to your normal wifi service try connecting to the fon spot, with multiple devices, if it works at home then it should work anywhere else in the world with a fon spot

I think you will be fine. Last time I used Fon I had both my laptop and iPhone connected at the same time using the same credentials.

I use Fon (when I can) and, the answer to your question is yes.

However, the advertised millions of Fon hotspots that BT advertise is theoretical. Unfortunately, a lot of them (most?) are either not enabled by their owners or the signal is too weak to be picked up or connected to.

At least that is my experience as a Fon user of several years.

That used to be true but BT changed things in 2009. Now all new customers share a FON hotspot by default rather than having to enable it themselves. This means that there are a lot more hotspots than there used to be.
