How long does a valuation survey take to arrange?

I had an offer accepted on a flat (FTB) about 3.5 weeks ago. My mortgage lender still hasn't sorted out a valuation survey. It took them 2 weeks to get me an updated application (I'd had an AIP that expired so needed to provide more recent payslips, and the person handling my application was off ill for 2 weeks prior to that).!
They've now had my additional info for a week, and still no one has called to set up a survey. I've chased three times already but have had no response. The vendor is getting very impatient. I'm not sure what to do. Does it normally take this long to get a valuation done? !
Thanks.

With the post office after filling out the online application and paying the fee it took 2 days lol.0

Halifax took two days so it does sound like they are taking far too long.0

I'm getting very worried now. The vendor's agent is complaining a lot. I've explained it's a small building society (Saffron) and my advisor was off sick for two weeks. It appears nothing was done in that time. Easter bank hols haven't helped either.0

We had our survey done yesterday, just over 3 weeks after we agreed a price with the vendors. I think Easter just slows everything down.0
