Anyone ever sent/sold anything to Cambodia??

Hi guys,

Just sounding you out really as I have sold something to Cambodia or the first time ever. Don't worry it's not a phone but clothing and the guy has paid and the shipping address is a PO Box No. Value including the postage is £10 so not a great deal of money. they buyer is registered in UK but postage address is Cambodia. Maybe a present or buying for someone else in his family. The rest of his feedback is good and he has not bought anything excessive as if the account was hijacked.

Question is - do you think it will arrive or go 'missing'. Any thoughts please? This is a first for me to be honest.

From what you've said, I think it will arrive. It's a bit of a 'glass half full' situation, isn't it? Keep us posted

might be an idea to tell him that you will get proof of posting, but if the item goes missing, its down to him. to many things can happen on a journey that long!

Provided you were not pay via PayPal you have nothing to risk as the seller. Get a COP to cover yourself regardless.

I've shipped to Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam without problem, but items can be forever delayed in Customs, or go 'missing' while being 'inspected'. Your buyer will likely know the risks so I wouldn't worry as there is nothing you can do to prevent it.

Package well and seal all edges, and make sure the address is in large clear handwriting with a return address. Attach a CN22 customs sticker with generic used clothing description and you're all set.

Yes, I get the COP with everything so that is not a problem - more the hassle of claiming as I lose the postage but still have to find out of my own pocket to send out again or refund that - and they do not refund the additional postage you have to pay. I am a business seller so it is always down to me if something does not arrive and I have to refund/replace and chase it us, you can never expect the buyer to do that whether business or personal as you hae sent it but I was more worried about the buyer being registered in the UK and sending over to Cambodia. i did not know if anyone else had come across this at all. I'll get it sent today and see what happens.

Most important question is how they paid.

Yes, most of my transactions are Paypal, I could not run my business without it - buyers like the protection it brings I guess but it also means that parcels sent without tracking numbers are open to fraud. Because I sell light items people never pay for tracking numbers with Special Delivery or International Signed for but I don't usually have problems. Just more that I have never shipped to Cambodia before.
