Child Tax Credits payments slightly lower?

Hey there,

I was curious if this is because of the new tax year but am not sure. Our circumstances haven't changed at all but for some reason our child tax credits have gone down by roughly £3 odd.

It used to be £63.07 or so.. now it's £60.87 or something. The weird thing is last week it was £60.89 or so and this week it's £60.67.

I didn't get an increase in income, (well, my income support went up ever so slightly by a couple of quid if that makes a difference!?) my baby is still under a year old as he's 6 months old. (I'm not sure if the amount goes down when they reach a year?) He's my only child.

Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks!

mine was £13.00 down aswell in yesterdays payment. Hope the next few weeks it will pick back up as £13.00 is £13.00

Oh I get paid weekly btw. I imagine you get paid monthly? I guess it must be happening to everyone then? It's a bit rubbish though, I wasn't sure if they'd lowered the rates for the new tax year but I thought that was just those who worked more or earned more.
