Send a Sar to the bank concerned ans ask for all info they hold on you, this will cost £10 but should get you the info you need, give as much info as you can about you, DOB address etc and give them 40 days to respond.

You could just ask the bank involved and that costs nothing other than a phone call. Some will tell you over the phone. If they wont, then the £10 DSAR method mentioned above can be used.
However, having PPI is not grounds for complaint. it will only tell you if you had it or not. Not if it was mis-sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Many thanks for the responses. I am going to ring them next week and see where it gets me and if its no help then will send the letter.
I understand that having PPI is not grounds for complaint only if it was mis-sold but as the loan was arranged through something I recieved through the post I was never asked aout taking it out but think I may have paid it as the original loan was for £6100 at I think 6.9% apr and I worked out that over the 4 years paying it back I paid back over £8200 but as I dont know how they work out how much is to be repaid Im not 100% sure0 -
If you do have PPI on this loan and you paid this back over the term with interest as one monthly payment with the loan, then this is single premium PPI and is the most upheld of all PPI mis sells.0
