    Absolutely fine.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Yes we but it, its nice. I used to always buy the tesco value tune chunks (not the flakes) but it kept on rising in price so we swapped over. Perfectly fine for sandwich's, pasta bakes etc.

funnily enough - I opened a tin of Aldi tuna for my lunch today! Its absolutely fine! (it was the one in the yellow tin - in sunflower oil). I cannot say if its better than Adsa - the last time I bought theirs was years ago and it was nothing more than flakes drowning in oil. they may have improved since then.
All I can say is that the Aldi one was so packed with tuna I had to lever it out of the can with a knife and it was nice and meaty!

My dd likes it better than tesco and Asda tuna
  • Chunks in brine taste fine, sunflower oil probably preferable for health! It is worth paying that bit extra for the chunks rather than flakes; I bought both as a comparison and the flakes really are like cat food, all watery and have no bite
  • I always get the one in brine, its lovely. I always buy the chunks too a I can't stand the flakes!

Thanks for the replies. When I'm down to my last two tins of tuna chunks, I will be stocking up.

Oddly enough, this was something I was just thinking about myself today - I've recently discovered an Aldi that isn't too much out of the way if I'm over in the town where it is doing other things. How much is the Aldi tuna please?

Lidl tuna chunks are great to, they're 72p a can, I'm not sure how that compares to the Aldi price.

We always bought the Asda smart price chunks but like a previous poster said, the price of them is rising so much now.
