Cheers for the responses everyone. To confirm, they took £1350 from my account without authorisation. During this time they were supposed to be looking to reduce the price in view of the error. Looking at the responses, I guess my only option is to go for a refund
Are they only taking the £1350 or are they planning to take the rest?
Just with you saying they were looking to reduce the price, perhaps they've managed to find something a little cheaper?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
They are never entitled to assume you'll agree to paying extra and just take the money without authorisation, and especially not such a large figure as that.
Because neither of us were inon the phone call, we have to do a bit of guesswork as to what each party thought was happening. What I meant was someone obviously got the impression the OP had agreed to complete the deal, so was putting things right, not that OP was holding out for a £660 holiday they had been told was a mistake, but didn't want refunded.
