Paypal query sending funds to US

I want to send some money to a friend in the US - can I use paypal to do this ? Would it be quicker ? Are there better ways.. It's around $200.

sending money by paypal would mean that they'd get the funds instantly. If they have a premier or business account they'd have to pay a fee to receive the money (I think it's about 5% but not sure if this is the case for higher amounts of money) All currency conversions are done for you and you tend to get a good rate.

Other similar ways are e.g. moneybookers and netteller. I've never used these so can't give you any further advice.

I was always under the impression that anyone with an email addy could send/receive funds. But I may be wrong....

yes you can use paypal...depending on what type of account they have they may have to pay fees on receiving though.... deducted from the amount.
