KrissCross,
I don't know how old you are but I understand that a lot of people go back to the UK as their conditions worsen.
His RA had been in a dormant state but he then relapsed to the extent that he couldn't walk, wash or dress himself, cut up food etc and was in the most dreadful pain. He is now back in remission.
According to our Spanish GP there was an 18 month wait to see a consultant......and only consultants were allowed to prescribe the medication he needed. He saw someone privately just to get the medication prescribed at a cost of €500. There is no support network like we are used to in the UK......you sort it out yourself, no documents translated, no free interpreters etc.
Doesn't sound as if you have been there very long yet. I would have found it very difficult to register on the padron, apply for residency, sort out healthcare etc without being able to speak some Spanish.0 -

I'm sorry you've found yourself in such a troubling situation, I would go back too If i were you.
I've been here 18 months but have not done anything that I should have done as stated in your last paragraph. I was sent the S1 but cannot face registering with the health authorities here. The language is not a barrier to me though I don't speak it - I just can't be bothered to drive into town and do what I need to.
Hey Ho - I'm sure I'll sort it out when I really have to - I've already had an emergency down here as in I broke my arm. Apart from having a few xrays I didn't follow up with the recommended physio. But I'm OK, I just can't scratch my back - with my left arm. The right one works ok though and with the help of a stick...............:)0 -

So as you presumably have no medical needs, not even to prescribe medication, I doubt you will be able to convince a WCA that you should continue to be paid IB/ESA.
Sounds as if you are not even really legal in Spain. Unless of course things have changed but we were obliged to register on the padron and apply for residency as we intended to be there for more than 6 months of the year.0 -
