catalogue ppi

hello i wonder if any one can offer my some wise words xxx
my mum has reacently been taken ill so i am helping her manage her money paying bills and using cash machines and such ....... i was going through her statments with her and noticed a small amount off money comes out of her account each month ( about £10 ) when i asked her what it was for she said it was ppi fro her catalogue
now i would like to be armed with as much info as i can before i call them
so she was a pensioner when she first took the catalogue out and has been paying ever since .... am i right in thinking ppi cant be offered to pensioners ?????
about a year ago she had trouble making the min payments (i didnt know ) so they put her on reduced payments for 6 months but did not use ppi
are we in a possition to claim any of this back for her
sorry its long winded but want to try and give as much info as i could .......

Put a claim into the catalogue, ask what she would have been covered for within this PPI tell them she was a pensioner and not working and if she had life insurance already then tell them this and request that they reimburse the PPI to her, you only need her account number to do this.

It does rather depend on when the catalogue account was opened, whether the PPI was advised and who the company is.
