I don't expect someone with 2000 sales to have 100% feedback - you can't please everybody the whole time. In fact if I did see 100% for someone with so many sales, I would be a bit suspicious!

I have considerably more than 2000 feedback and have 100% and with no negs at all on my main business account. Virtually ever other seller I personally know or interact with also have 100% despite thousands of feedback.

At one point last month I even showed 2 of my stars at 5* (and 2 at 4.9* .

I am no better a seller nor any worse than anyone else and a neg wouldn't hurt me at all, but it is nice to avoid them.

7000+ on one ID and not so much as a neutral, but it is selling a niche product that is hard, if not impossible to buy elsewhere. Feedback threats are futile as there is no alternative, but likewise I've had TRS status since day one on that account, and any non-positive feedback will look out of place against the usual service standards.

22,000 on a now dormant selling account which I used for a different product range, and it was regularly the subject of veiled threats from the lower end of the social spectrum to put it politely. Again, I had enough feedback to take a few non-positive without affecting the 100% record, and most of the threats were sent via ebay messages - highlighting the foresight of the type of buyer I had back then...

The biggest threat to a 100% record is poor service levels and buyer expectation, but then I've only really dealt with two selling categories.

I'd hate to work in the clothing or consumer electronics segments long term. I dabbled in them both and could not be doing with the target market attitudes.

I think it's important to keep feedback good. If a seller has revisions on their account, or 100% FB, it suggests to me they know how to look after their customers - which is important when buying online. I would argue that that argument is used more by sellers who want to masquerade as buyers, not genuine buyers (similar to the argument that buyers no longer leave feedback as a protest at an unfair system - which favours them...similarly nonsensical an argument when you look at my issues with buyer feedback).

Most people accumulate some negs, but it should not be seen as a badge of honour or a reason to buy from a seller. Now it is easier to remove negs or get them revised, the genuinely unfair ones should not be a huge problem and with a bit of negotiation the less unfair ones can be dealt with properly.

I don't want to buy from a seller who gives the impression they didn't care whether or not their buyers are happy.

Both markets are a PITA as a buyer too. The condition of some shirts I've bought could be a lot better, I can't try anything on online, and electronics are prone to postal problems, such as dislodged components - I'd much rather buy both categories of items in person anyway.
