HP NX6325 help please

Hi all,

I have an opp to purchase the HP NX6325 laptop. Its for my son, he will do school work and play the Sims 2 (which he is addicted to). My question is, the spec looks ok, but does anyone know if it will be a slow lagging laptop or should it run ok? Also will it play the Sims 2?

It has a Radeon Xpress 1150 chipset and dual core turion 1.6ghz with 2gb ram.

Oh he wants £70 for the lap which seemed pretty good

Thanks in advance....

It's a very old business laptop not really good enough to do anything other than general browsing/emails/Office work.

£70 is a little too much. Offer £50 tops.

is it really that bad? Will it not run something like Sims 2 then? the seller says he has it running windows 7, which made me think it must run ok to use win 7?

You can run Win 7 on a 1Ghz centrino with 1GB, albeit slowly.

It may run Sims 2 fine as it isn't that graphic hungry but all I am saying it is an old laptop with a inferior CPU.

it may be fine, but it's a business-oriented laptop that's a good 4-5 years old.

Depending how much you budget it is, try and find a good second-hand/refurb on eBay or other sites that will have some sort of warranty.

    For £70??

Though I'm wondering as to why anyone would pay for a Windows 7 licence for such a machine.
Perhaps worth an enquiry with the seller as to whether he has a COA sticker for the installed Windows 7.

Otherwise, the OP may have to roll back to XP in order to have a properly licenced OS without paying extra.

Nothing wrong with such a machine, if that is as far as the budget goes.
