And whereas, yes, we could do it cheaper, and I empathise with those on a low wage who have got to make savings. but thats not me. Make no apologies for that - I work hard.[/QUOTE]
You work hard. You like spending what you earn.
Nothing wrong with that.
My attitude would be, then, why throw away some of that hard-earned money, money that you like spending, on interest and fees for a loan.
It's up to you. If you want a loan and can afford to repay it then it's up to you.
If you want opinions on the best way to get the money to buy whatever it is you want, my opinion is to cut down on spending and then buy it. I understand that many people wouldn't share my opinion and I don't have a problem with that.
So assuming you still want to borrow the money, over what timescale do you want to pay it back?
Have you got an overdraft you could use?
Have you tried your own bank for a loan (they can see your money coming in each week/month and so might be happier to lend than a random other lender)?
Have you applied for this Sainsbury's card, or is it just something you are thinking of.
Have you thought about a 0% (or low rate) for purchases card?
Do you have any savings?
Any family / friends who would lend to you?0
