Very frustrating that you keep starting new threads on this ( three now? or is it four?)- and I can't be bothered to read back!
She gave Notice. Was this correctly served? Was it end of a Fixed Term? If a Periodic Tenancy, was it a full rental Period's Notice?
Assuming the Surrender is, as you say, genuine, then the tenancy is ended.
The key is not an issue - you've changed the lock so forget the key! What's the problem?
As normal security (nothing to do with her) ensure your contractors
a) keep doors locked /secure and
b) do not let anyone unauthorised in
Forget charging the cost of the locks. You should change them between tenants anyway as normal good practice.
And do NOT serve a new S21/S8 (even if you could: no farwarding address? And she's locked out? How can she receive it!?). Doing so WOULD imply that you you believe the tenancy continues in which case changing the locks is a big No-no!
You say she's not in rent arrears - but has she actually paid rent for any period post Saterday ie in advance?0 -
Really, it is bad form to ask a question, get an answer then delete your question. It renders your thread useless as discussion of how to address a particular problem. And it is disrespectful to those who answer.Wellington_B wrote: »Deleted, question answered.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
