Hi there does anyone know how long it takes to transfer funds from a lloyds account by one person into a halifax account of someone else.

If she doesn't already have you on her account as a payee? Then get her to do a test £1 first. Just to make sure the details are correct.

It is instant ...... it's also potentially irretrievable if she gets the deails wrong.

They(automated system) always 'phone me immediately too when I set up a new payee and I have to provide a code number which appears on my logged in internet banking screen.
That's on the landline number given to them, I don't know how it works when they have your mobile 'phone number though or no 'phone contact details?

yes she discovered that today when she tried to transfer and realised she had changed address details but not telephone number anyway easily sorted we got a cheque instead.
