I generally shop online with Ocado. Utilising their offers and using a voucher code, I can usually save a good 40%+ which works cheaper than most other supermarkets. To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

Yes I'm a bargain merchant but have shopped there more than anywhere recently. After 4 or so there are always redirections eg 80p sarnies full of yummy ingredients - full choc desserts with spoons 80p
milk half price, mulled wine 99p and two glasses of Irish coffee 99p with glasses.
It's too dear to shop there exclusively but great for pop in bargains! also great quality and taste.0 -
Mrs Badger and I recently ventured into one of the 'grab it and run' M&S food branches - the one at St Pancras station. We were going to be very late home and needed something to eat when we got back. We bought potato wedges and some sort of breaded spiced chicken breast.
It was only after eating it and realising how good it was that I looked at the bill. It was cheap.
I've been wondering since whether my view of M&S is out if date and judging by this thread and our recent experience, it seems it might be!
M&S the new Lidl? I can see the threads already....0 -
I second this. Some of their products are cheaper. They do a pack of 8 delicious sausages for £1 which is cheaper than most supermarkets and if you do buy them for £1 in most shops they're the cheapest range and don't contain that much meat.
really? I never would have thought m&s could be cheaper than some of the other supermarkets I'll have to look out for these sausages, thanks

The M&S sausages are lovely - switched to them ages ago when Tesco stopped stocking the frozen sausages we liked, but have to say they've gone up from 99p to £1.19 now. They also have higher meat percentages available too, all at very reasonable prices. We decided to start with the
cheapest and if we didn't like them move up to meatier ones but haven't felt we needed to.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
