225 pounds over my overdraft limit- HELP!

i'm 225 pounds over my overdraft limit on my lloyds tsb student account
the bulk of this is made up of late charges (around 200 pounds)
after careful budgeting i've realised that i can't afford to pay this off all at once
my question is- shall i ask my local bank manager if i can pay in installments?

How much are the charges? Go to the forum which deals with reclaiming unfair charges as they may be wiped out if you ask them. It will depend on how much they are charging you.0

charges are two 90 pound late charges and one 35 unpaid item charge0

ask for them back - if they refuse sue the gits for all the charges they've placed on your account. Have a look here for some help

Here's Martin's step-by-step guide to reclaiming bank charges. That should get rid of the late charges. I guess you'll be able to pay of the rest but just for the benefit of anyone else who has debts to the bank it is better to call or make an appointment and try to agree a payment plan than to bury your head in the sand and let the debt get out of control. The bank probably will be prepared to come to an agreement because it is in their interest to let you pay by installment if they want to get their money back.0

My daughter went overdraft before Christmas. On one day they processed one cheque but bounced another and her DD for her phone did not go through and she had a £38 charge. I wrote to them (head office, not the local branch) saying it was illegal and unfare and also illilogical to process one cheque for the larger ammount but not the other. They had also taken 11 days to process/bouce these cheques and my daughter obviously thought they had gone through the system .
I had a reply by phone within one week and £76 was put into her account.
She has done it again this month, gone overdrawn and her DD for her phone has been refused and a £38 charge added. I am going to write again to the freepost head office address. I dont suppose I will have any joy this time because there are no other mittigating circumstances.
I have third party access to my daughters account
