I have read from different people what is the best to wash puppies with and was wondering what people on here have washed their pup with?

There seems to be plenty of dog shampoos out there and have read some use a little bit of washing liquid.

I wouldn't be to quick to wash pup all over just top and tail with warm flannel like u would with baby I usually wait till after first few walks when pup is into every bush , tree etc I use dog conditioning shampoo from wyse byse think its 99p this works for all my dogs.Have never used washing up liquid seems a bit harsh for pups skin but thats just me.sill

    Hi there,

really enjoying having a shih tzu..

We are new to this breed and even had him at the vets as we thought he was unwell but it turned out that this breed snorts and a common trait.

Toilet training with his is a bit hit & miss but getting better.

I have to admit def a family friendly dog and love having Zac as part of the family:D
  • Aww is that him in your avatar? He is gorgeous. Is he brown markings? Ours is brown and your picture looks similar to our girl. She is 7 months old and I can't remember what life was like before her lol!

Yeah toilet training is an adventure with these blighters! Ours knows where she should be doing it but if we miss her going to the back door or circling in that area she will think nothing of just doing it anyway. That's mainly our fault though for missing the signs. We use to give her a treat every time she went "potty" in the garden, she got wise though and started just squatting randomly out there and running straight over to me after a 0.5 second squat for a treat haha! They are so funny and so loving!

There is a website called Shih tzu whispers...I don't think its very active but its still has loads of good info in the forum part:

    Take care :)
