hi, i have been paying the csa for the past 15 years for a son that i don't have contact with as he and his mum moved away to london when he was 3, i have had the same job also for the past 15 years, i have never had a tax rebate in this time, and my tax code has never changed, would i be entitled to a tax rebate or are csa payments not taken into account? i have tried ringing the tax office but was put on hold for 15 minutes so give up, any info appreciated thanks

Is your question whether you can get tax relief on child maintenance payments?
If it is then I think the answer is no.
Maintenance payment tax relief referred to maintenance to ex-spouses and is only applicable if you were born before 6th April 1935.

However if your tax code really hasn't changed for 15 years you are likely to be due a tax rebate as your tax code should change most years to reflect the change in personal allowance.0
