Red X in white boxes where image should be?

Not sure if anyone can help but recently we have been getting little red x in a white box where an image on certain websites should be, we have tried right clicking and clicking in show image but that doesnt do anything. we have also checked that show images is checked in the advanced settings tab.

It isn't occuring on every website but some i.e banking websites the login log out boxes are missing and on our yahoo home page the mail icon is like this.

any ideas?

Press Ctrl+F5 to refresh from the server. If that doesn't work, clear your internet cache via your browse and/or preferably via CCleaner

Check to see if your computer is using a filter to block images\videos as it is possible that your filter is blocking images on your browser.
