Hi,

I am trying to check if I had been mis-sold any PPI on various loads and credit cards I have had in the past 10 years. I don't have all the loan agreement paperwork but thankfully I have 10 years worth of bank statements which details loan / cc account numbers on them and what/when payments were made but I have a few questions:

1. I am looking to see if I was mis sold ppi on my barclays graduate loans (I had a few of these) should I use the standard ppi questionnaire from barclays? Does it matter that these were over 8-11 years ago?

2. I had two Egg loans in the past - I understand that Egg is now owned by Barclaycard - same/separate PPI form/questionnaire?

3. I had a number of Cahoot loans - I understand they are part of the Santander group? Same form to fill in?

4. I also had an Egg and Cahoot Credit card (I wasn't that good with my finances back in the day!) but I don't have loan agreement details just what I paid and a ref number from my old statements - can I still check if PPI was being added?

All advice would be gratefully appreciated, I know this is a long process and I am not expecting anything back (and all the banks to fob me off initially) but I would just like to make sure I fill in the correct forms and sent it to the correct place.

Many thanks

Edit: I will add that I never claimed for any ppi with any of the loans/cc payments.

    Hi there

A great start, you have the account numbers, so as long as you have your reasons, then fire away on the reclaiming.

It is rather straight forward, below is a reclaim questionnaire, complete and send to the responsible business that set up and sold you the account.

All reclaim questionnaires/loans ppi are the same, even the banks own are the same ones as on this site, and they were issued by the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) for customers to make a reclaim on mis sold ppi, you keep copies back for yourself and in case you need to make a complaint to the FOS later on, where you would enclose the kept copy for the FOS to enclose within the FOS complaints form (separate form).

    Hope that makes sense.

If you had the same loans with the same business, and mis sold for the same reasons, one application is fine, but personally I would keep them separate to save any confusion later on, and remember to enclose all account numbers that apply.

Reclaim questionnaire for both loan/credit card below, step 3.

If your successful, they should send you a breakdown, so you know what is what, but otherwise ask for them.
You do not require them for the questionnaire.

Get proof of posting at your local post office.
You should receive a confirmation letter within a week maybe 2 at most.
They will confirm they have 8 weeks as from the date they received your complaint.

    Good luck.
