Would viewing other houses get back to vendors?

Ok so we love a house, we have put in our best offer and its been turned down, however everyone thinks the vendors are being unrealistic. If we were to go and view some other properties with the EA and make them believe we have now lost interest in the property we love, would this get back to the vendors?
My idea is hoping that vendors will hear about it, panic and think oh dear we wont get any further offers from them, perhaps we should rethink the last offer and come back to us with changed minds. Might work, might not. On the other hand we might fall in love with another house whilst viewing that doesn't have an unrealistic vendor.
Has anyone ever done this? Attempting to play the EA a little bit.
Why would anyone buy a house and move? This is the most stressful thing I have ever been through, I hate having no control. :rotfl:

Just carry on viewing others, no point waiting around really.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

You are at the beginning of a long and stressful process ... dont make it more stressful for yourself by trying to second guess what is in other peoples heads. Keep looking, something better will come onto the market.0

The vendors are not being unrealistic. They're just waiting for the person who appreciates the finer points of their home and whose offer will reflect this. I expect they will sell their house when the Olympics have finished, the 2016 ones!If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

the agent has seen every game you care to play, twice over.
In fact they played you by saying the vendor is being unrealistic!
