yes, it is at 32 cells x 2 that's £5.95 that's a true bargain. normally, they're never reduced. it's well worth doing it for your beans and peas as they grow so fast so quickly.

root trainers are brilliant. I have chillis, peppers and tomatoes in mine and have planted onion sets and broad beans grown in them. They take a lot of plants in a little space. Very well worth the money

Have never used / seen these before, although the packet of sweet peas I planted last weekend did suggest they couldbe planted in root trainers.

I have loads of little module style seed trays, are these root trainers so much better than these? I imagine it's a lot easier to remove seedlings from these without disturbing the roots but is there any other real advantage?

I prefer to sow my peas indoors first so I can plant out established plants and they do take up a lot of space in individual pots so thought these would be good for that. Also saves that you don't have to repot them as they look quite large each one. I have some mini ones that don't open p and they they are so hard to fill with soil.

they have ridges down the sides and holes at the bottom so that the roots are air pruned. All the plants get a really good strong root system and they then get away very fast when planted into final spaces. I always water from the bottom by standing in a big tray and that encourages the roots again. There are 32 chilli and pepper plants in one of mine and about the same tomato plants in another and they seem to create their own micro climate and are incredibly strong plants. If it is going to freeze at night then I just carry the 2 trays in, instead of dozens of individual pots. I got mine direct from haxnicks

I haven't used these before but since you lot are raving about them, I've jumped on the bandwagon and ordered a set.

    Thanks.

    I think. :D
