Are Travelodge rooms transferable? Please help

I have a room booked in Caernavon Travelodge for this Sunday and Monday, however we have decided that with baby and toddler a room is not going to work so we have booked a cottage instead. We got the rooms in the sale so can't get refund but was thinking of advertising on ebay or something - can anyone go regardless of name on booking does anyone know?
TIA

They are not transferable as per terms and conditions on the site, but as they only usually ask for your name, postcode, rather than a card or ID, someone else can use them in your name. However there have been problems stated on the past here, where people have booked for someone else and they have smoked in the room or damaged the room and the person who has booked has jhad the money taken off their card or received an invoice. I personally would not chance this happening by selling on ebay etc.
Here is a recent topic on this.

I've offered mine on to family when we haven't been able to make it. I didn't inform Travelodge though, they just checked in under our name and there was no issue.
I'd be reluctant to flog it on eBay because I imagine if there was any issues with damage to the room you would be held liable.0 -
Ooooh I hadn't thought of that, thank you. Not worth the risk for the money I paid for the room. Might just see if any family/close friends want them - people who I know and trust. Shame for them to go to waste0
