Planning on popping the question

Hi All,

Thought I'd drop a post in here as I plan on proposing to my OH, we've been together now coming on two years and have an amazing little monkey who will be 1 in June the 18th so would like to do before then, so of course first task, finding the right engagement ring.

Can anyone suggest any online shops to look at? I want to keep the budget under £300 (hope that's not sounding too cheap) but i know shes not one who would like it to be stupidly expensive or ott either. I don't want to do to the usual's i.e. Argos, Amazon, eBay more looking for the kind of personal touch. Must be a silver or white gold, not gold.

If silver would be ok you could look on pandora they have some lovely silver rings for under £100. I got the silver melanite ring as my enagagment ring and adore it.

Try pawn brokers if she'll be ok with second hand (I would).

Alternatively ebay if you're confident enough and research the seller (check feedback, how long they've been trading on ebay for etc) you can get a bargain

Also a shop called John Greed keeps popping up on the grabbit board as they have good offers on (google their online shop)

To be honest, £100 isn't going to get you a lot of silver, especially if you want some kind of stone with it, unless you want it to look like you bought it in Argos.

Remember, you'll need to get a silver wedding band also

I've had jewellery from Pia online before and it's wonderful quality.
When you say you don't like gold, do you mean the colour? Would white gold not be an option?

Silver is a very soft metal and any wedding ring she wears next to it in future would need to be silver aswell otherwise there'll be nothing left of it in a few years time.
