I appreciate I'm not going to get a nice area, but just seeing what's the best of a bad bunch really.
I'm from Gatley, Stockport and have seen places in Salford etc that I'm not sure about. Just for me, on my own, but would ideally buy a 2 bed for selling on when the time comes.

I know, I was hoping for people who can recommend the better areas or the areas to steer clear of. E.g I know Salford has a bit of a bad rep but like most places there are usually ok bits as well as bad bits.0

Steer clear of moss side, although being from stockport I assume you will already know that. I personally would steer clear of anything city centre but thats because I am a country girl.0

the bits around hope hospital are ok, cavendish road way.0

I'd go further north (from Stockport) to Denton, although you'll probably only get 1 bed for that budget. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Nothing in Denton but a few in nearby Hyde etc. Really don't know about these areas though.
