Linking Named Ranges in Excel

Hi
Could someone help me with this:
I have a few spreadsheets that other people populate which I then summarise into one master spreadsheet. In the source files there are named ranges - I have done this because all the spreadsheets are not fully aligned and when people add rows etc it becomes difficult to manage.
So I have been trying to link the named range cells in the source spreadsheet into the destination......but cant figure out how to do it. Anyone have any useful tips on how/if this can be done as I have been searching in google for some time to try and do this !!!
Cheers

I think i know what you mean,
On excel 2003 do this;
Data -> import external data -> import data -> "Now locate your excel sheet" -> now click open -> "Select the sheet" -> New worksheet -> 'create a pivot table report' -> select existing worksheet then click on layout.
the rest should be self explanatory hopefully.
is that in the right ball park??ewwwww what is that...0 -
I get a F1, F2, F3, F4 etc coming back?????0

so the excel sheets you are importing from, do not have names for the columns, you should just be able to drag the tabs under the columns you want!!ewwwww what is that...0

Try setting up names in your new SS which refer to the range you have named in your source SS.0
