Hi all
I'm still off work for Easter Hols which means I'm not spending much at all. I work in town centre & always go out for a stroll at lunchtime so end up window shopping then tempted to buy something. Keep trying this non spending day thing but usually end up buying essentilas such as bread or milk. Would be easier if son didn't keep asking for this, that and the other.
Am feeling particularly proud of myself as friend invited me to go shopping in Newcastle today & to have lunch but I declined. Real achievement for a self confessed shopaholic.
Am determined to stop wasting money, you know the £10 or £20 note in your purse that just seems to disappear into thin air within a day or two. I've found having 2 purses helps, I keep money separate from contents of main purse & pretend I have no money to the children.0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Running late this morning, first time I've had chance to pop in and say HI! Thanks for starting the thread DNMS!
Today I will:
Check banks
Check CCs - still no idea what my missing £30 is, rang Tesco yesterday and they were particularly unhelpful...
Check TCB - got about £8 which has been pending for AGGGGGES!
2lts water - nearly halfway there
Food from stores (topped up with some yummy giant chocolate buttons kindly donated from a colleague!)
NSD - desperately needed, only have £25 to last me 13 days (only 'fun' money mind, everything else budgeted!) and have a meal out for a birthday on Saturday - really don't want to hit the CC so might be a night on the tap water! Just thought I have a couple of bottles of cava left over from Xmas so might take them for getting ready drinks.
Drive economically - used nearly a tank of fuel getting to Plymouth last night, very annoying! Need to top up on way home.
Docs appt tonight
Do some exercise - maybe C25K, maybe cross trainer
Spend the evening on SB whilst doing OU stuff - OH gone to Munich on a stag weekend so have loads of free time all of a sudden!
Work hard, it's very quiet down here and I'm feeling my concentration lapse...!
Have a great day all, will be back to update later!

Afternoon all,
Bit peeved as boss (and friend) emailed me a photo of her ‘swim up’ bar in her hotel in Egypt...I’ve not had a holiday in such a long time......next year for definite !
Most of today’s list is recycled from yesterday
Today I have/will:
• Meals from stores – incl healthy ham and egg salad (protein to keep me fuller for longer) – was very tempted to go downstairs for a sandwich
• Need to check lottery account – you never know
• Charged mobile at work
• Was planning on a NSD today but I need to buy an ankle support
• Keep my head down today (things are getting too much at the moment and just want to cry all the time – it’s down to hormones, stress and everything else)
• Plan a day in London for myself (and possibly hubby) - find free things to do
• Used railpass to get to and from work
• Read paper online and freebie paper
• Read book on the way home
• Spend at least half of lunchtime typing up notes for college
• Need to phone our energy supplier and hopefully they will be able to answer my query – didn’t do this yesterday
• Have an early night – having to go to bed earlier and earlier
• Off to WW after work – not expecting a good result as v stressed at the moment !
Will read through today’s comments and respond when I get home
Have a fab day
