Thursday 12th April - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today??

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
Morning  absolutely beautiful here in kent this morning :T thought I'd start us off as we weren't up and running already (and of course a little more procrastination
)
Things for the day will include:
I think that's my lot. 2 more mins then I'll start getting ready..... Have a great day everyone x

Good morning all!
I haven't made a list for a while and it's not been a very dfw month (fridge freezer packed in so couldn't batch cook etc for 3 weeks!), so I think a list might get me back on track.
So today:
Charging phone in work
Have brought in some lunch
Checked online banking (only £7.74 left - eeek!)
OH has brought some bargain reduced lettuces (17p and 7p respectively) so must come up with ways to use them (at least new ff will keep them crispy cool)
Will start second half of crocheted cushion cover (starting Christmas present for nan early!)
Right I think that will do for the moment. Must start work. Not very dfw to be unemployed for chattering on here!! :rotfl:
Good luck all.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Morning again everyone!
Today I need to look for my passport so that I can open this post office budget account!!
I need to send another eBay package off
Go to the market to buy fruit and veg at a good price.
Make food from what's in the cupboards. I'm actually amazed that I've hardly gone food shopping this first week of school hols, and we've eaten well. The turkey I had in the freezer did 3 meals, roast turkey dinner, turkey stir fry and then turkey curry! Today might be a sausage and mash meal, or sausage casserole!Find a little bit of joy in every day.

Morning all
I really, really love my holidays but I don't half spend a lot of money when I'm not at work...
Today won't be much of a mse day as I'm out with the girls from work tonight. It's on a gr0upon voucher but it's in Newcastle so the travel costs will kill me (I'm not on a metro line). But I don't get out that often and this has been booked since January, so bring it on!
Other things
checked banking
ring other florists for wedding flower quotes (££££ - more than I thought)
meals from stores for OH and kids
stick with diet all day (as tonight will blow it out of the water)
visit friend in rehab this afternoon (not drugs/alcohol rehab, she was left paralysed after an operation went wrong)
visit my sister and niece
try and find a nice Christening present for niece
if I have time, nap to try and avoid the migraine I'm expecting tomorrow after the hangover
Have a fantastic day everyone.

Morning All!
I'm avoiding the bank accounts today. I very much doubt they've got any better looking overnight. Especially as I didn't win the lottery! *sigh* (I knew I shouldn't have played bingo on OH's account with his bingo bonus money (with his permission of course - i have no bonus funds right now). I won him 7 quid, and used up all my luck!).
Oh, funny story. There must be someone else, on another bingo site, with the same username as me. Because I won a few times last month, one user kept accusing me of not being a real person and that I have multiple accounts on different bingo sites! hahaha. Nope, I'm real (pokes self to double check - yep, definitely real), and I only have the one account. He doesn't believe me though! lol
Last night I did 3 x washing up!! (and there's still some more to do!)
OH did the clothes wash
Made chiken, with pasta, in a homemade tomato sauce from the stores
That was it really. Frikkin' knackered!
Today/tonight:
- LSD (should be easy, I've only got enough money for some milk anyway! lol)
- All meals from stores (I have lunch with me again)
- Check hotmail for response from Experian, and if not, call!
- More washing up
- Wash the duvet cover that's in the washing basket
- Make the carrot soup - I didn't do it last night!
Err...there must be more I need to do, but I can't remember. So, that's it for now.February wins: Theatre tickets0
