Can anyone recommend the best place to buy vitamins and supplements.
My new pain clinic has recommended trying Chondroitin, Glucosamine, MSM, Rose Hip, Omega 3, Magnesium + Zinc, and bromeline.
Thanks

http://www.puritanspride.co.uk/ have a very good reputation, though they're not the cheapest. Me, I tend to buy from the Holland And Barrett penny sale
!
I've bought from here for my mum (for Black Cohosh, Red Clover, menopausal remedies) http://www.vitaminsdirectonline.co.uk/index.htm though can't vouch for the quality, they are cheaper.
I also buy Glucosamine (clicky hips these days) and Evening Primrose Oil from, of all places, Poundland. The Glucosamine is 2KCl 500mg, 30 tablets. Evening Primrose Oil is 40 tablets, 500mg with 10mg Vitamin E and 40mg GLA.
MSM (apparently the powder is better than capsules), I've bought from ebay..and you can use the bulk jars intended for horses, apparently there's no difference. Some skincare fiends take it with 1000mg Vitamin C morning and night, though I know it's mainly used for joint health.
Bought 5HTP here: http://ultratrim.co.uk/ and found their customer service excellent.0 -
My Mum and Dad use Healthspan for their vitamins and supplements http://www.healthspan.co.uk/ they use pure ingredients so sometimes they are more expensive but they are very good.
My parents have started using glucosamine with chondroitin for their joints and they say they have noticed an even bigger difference."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
I've been taking vitamin supplements for years now....around 43!...and when I started , H&B was one of the few suppliers!
Nowdays, I shop and buy online, and I mainly use:-
http://www.luxebc.com/epages/luxebc.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/luxebc
They deliver in 3-6 days....although I have received orders the next day!...and P&P is free, no matter what the spend is, in the UK.
If you use Firefox and have the WOT addon, you'll see that it is red, ie warning against this site, but don't take any notice of this, as when I wrote my review for my first product delivery from LuxeBC, I mentioned this, and recieved an email from them, saying they thought this was down to a competitor, and sent me a free wee gift for writing positively against the WOT ranking that the'd been given!!
I've been buying from them now for about two years, and think that their prices, packaging and delivery are excellent!!!

I think Vitabiotics are good, makers of Perfectil. I've been buying it from Boots to get Advantage points but Vitabiotics do free delivery and 3 for 2 on all their products plus reward points to get more products free.
Lidl do standard vitamins cheaply.0 -
I use http://www.zipvit.co.uk very satisfied, good prices, good quality and fast despatch.
I also use Healthspan and Simplysupplements.net also
http://www.nutrisun.co.uk
I am a bit of a vitamin and supplements fan!0 -

It's possible amazon might have some or all of the vitamins you're after. I know they do the 'higher nature' brand, which tend to contain more natural ingredients in them.0

I second the suggestion for Iherb.com, it beats all UK shops on price. Have been using it for a number of years and can't fault their service. They always run special offers and offer freebies and hot deals. They sell many brands and at times it could be a bit tricky to choose one product over others. I've just come to like and trust a few brands and usually stick with them. Cheapest is not always the best! I recommend looking for companies that offer more advanced supplements, i.e. whole food based or derived from natural sources.
Ordering is very simple, remember to keep the order under £15.00 and it will arrive straight to your post box. Anything over that amount and you will have to pay VAT on the amount + clearance fee, the post office will hold the parcel until you've paid for it. Only worth it if you are buying many items or expensive ones. In that case you can also choose DHL as an option. I must have placed over 20 orders with them so far and never had a single problem, very pleased. My last one took about a week to arrive. They sell sooo many things, it becomes a bit addictive
You can find codes posted on the Referral Board, which will give you $5.00 off your first order. Or you can always pm me and I can give you mine.Once you place an order with them you'll get your own referral code to give to others. If you have any questions about the site, I am happy to answer ...

I would also highly recommend iHerb. They have a huge selection, have customer reviews for every item sold, and their prices are really low compared to the UK.
If I'm ever ordering more than £18 worth I tend to opt for DHL. They are a bit dearer than normal post, but they charge less of an admin fee (i think it's £3 compared with £8) than Royal Mail for processing the duty & VAT charges. And obviously delivery is quicker.
I have a code for $10 off and I'm happy to pass it on if anyone wishes to PM me.
