Paying Gas and Elect bills at bank?

can I pay my gas and electricity bills at halifax's counter with my debit or credit card, taking my paper bills with me?

nb: halifax have been changing so fast with bills, atm services reduced, etc. just checking, what's the latest news from halifax?

    Not usually as suppliers operate their own card facilities but its normally when collecting debts.

    With the suppliers sort code and account number you can pay.

    Or you can do it online through your own bank, you just need the supplier's sort code ad account no, and your own utility account ref.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
