    Indeed, but if you carried your keys separately you'd probably be more likely to lose one or two of them.

    So which is worse? The unlikely possibility that you'll lose all your keys, or the far more likely possibility that you'll lose just one? The fact that humans have evolved to carry their keys as a bunch suggests that we're collectively decided that the latter is more of a problem.

    But you can buck the trend and carry your keys separately! If you ever manage to find them... :D

    Just leave all the keys in their appropriate locks - problem solved.

    My husband (definitely not me) left our keys in the outside lock of the front door. It was front door, back door and car keys. Our car was 4 days old at the time.

    Coincidentally, I managed to lose some keys over the Easter weekend, belonging to the B&B at which we were staying ...

    This made me smile as i've a husband who loses his keys often,last time took a good 30 minutes to find them and thats with 3 of us searching.
