Buying a Used 107?
Are there any deals out there yet for used Peugeot 107s. I have exactly £5k to spend and I can see deals that start at £6k for pre-registered 56 plates with delivery milage.
I have been looking at new shape Micras or a Yaris for reliability and the 107 is 92% Toyota so should be reliable. I can get these cars at around 4K with 20-33k miles depending on trim level and mileage. But I like the look and drive of a 107 but can't get one new so am looking for a used one and can stretch to 5K.
Is there one out there that I can get in Scotland (or at least arrange for easy delivery to Scotland) or do you think I could get a deal around the 28th of this month for a 107 that is currently selling at £6k?
Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks
D.

https://www.drivethedeal.com have a brand new Peugeot 107 Urban Lite 1.0 3dr for£5575. Good comapny to deal with and money/deposit goes straight to the dealer. They may use a dealer in Scotland too.0

Might be worth checking out the latest Top Gear/JD Power survey of all cars on the market - a good number of French cars (Peugeot, Citroen, Renault) were at the bottom.
The survey is based on information given by us, the buyers.
Virtually all Japanese cars have good reliability records.0 -
Gazhawkins - all of which you say is true, but the 107/C1 have petrol engines designed by Toyota and are built in the same factory, in the Czech Republic. The Yaris is built in France, by the way, and very well indeed.
The best price I've seen on a 107 was £5,495 from http://www.peugeotwatford.co.uk but they're not advertising that any more.
The Fiat Panda is doing well in terms of reliability - 8th in the Top Gear survey - and that can be had for £4,995 from http://www.fiatsupasaver.com for instance. I have seen dealer offers for a C1 for £5k but you need to take out their own (expensive) finance.
You could also consider a Kia Picanto for £5k - try http://www.mkkia.co.uk and that also has lots of space and a good reliability record.
There are used C1Ayg07s around for under £5k but they're all over a year old with significant mileages and not worth saving £500 for.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
Debt now: £14,100
Debt free day: October 2008 :beer:0
