Ok, so what would you guys advise me to do next? I've not signed anything, but there obviously is a claim that can be applied for. Unfortunately apart from the details on the paperwork that I've got, I have no other details.... is there a way forward?
You have no contract with the Claims Management Company, so you are free to do as you please. It's your ex who needs to somehow extricate himself from his agreement. Unfortunately, until he is free to partner you in a complaint independent of the CMC, there doesn't seem any way forward.

You still haven't told us any details of how much stands to be gained here. If it's a lot then you may have to bite the bullet and let the Claims Company take their "share". If it's a negligible amount, I'd be loathe to let them have anything.

Also do remember that there are no guarantees that the Bank will uphold your complaint, so the whole quandary may eventually turn out to be moot.

I would be tempted to write direct to the broker. Tell them that you, too, want to complain but you are NOT a party to any agreement your ex has with the ambulance chaser, you do NOT give permission for any personal data relating to you to be given to the ambulance chaser and that in the event the complaint is upheld you would like a separate cheque for 50% of the redress.

That sounds like an excellent idea. Now.... because I'm a little bit confused with this, do I write to Ocean Finance or GE Money...??? :) I've no idea which the broker would have been....

I know - my ideas are almost as remarkable as my humility!

Given that GE Money is authorised to make mortgage loans and Ocean Finance is not, it looks like GE Money is the lender and Ocean Finance the broker.
