Terms and Conditions

1. This Competition is open to anyone aged 18 and over.
2. This Competition is not open to employees of HostelBookers, their family members, HostelBookers’ agents or anyone professionally connected with the competition.
3. Participants enter the competition by submitting the correct answer and their email address.
4. By entering the competition the participant agrees to participate in such promotional activity, including automatic subscription to our newsletter.
5. No responsibility is taken for entries which are lost, delayed or misdirected, or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
6. The competition will run from 00:01 GMT 11th April 2012 and will close at 23:59 GMT 8th May 2012.
7. Any entries received or processed after the closing date and time will not be accepted.
8. Only one entry is allowed per person.
9. The prize is eight 3-night stays for two people in any city showing availability on the HostelBookers' website. (Maximum accommodation value of £50 per person per night).
10. The eight stays do not have to be taken consecutively however, only a maximum of 3 nights per destination can be taken.
11. 2 x £1,000 travel expenses will be transfered using PayPal. Winners must have an active PayPal account to be able to receive cash prizes.
12. The prizes must be taken by the prize winner and may not be transferred to or taken by any third party.
13. Accommodation stays must be booked by the 31st of December 2012 and must be completed no later than the 31st May 2013. All accommodation stays are subject to availability.
14. A draw will be used to choose the winner at random at 10:00 GMT on 9th May 2012.
15. The winner will be notified via email within 7 days of the draw. Once the prizes have been claimed, the winner will be announced on the HostelBookers' blog and via our social media channels.
16. If HostelBookers cannot contact the winner within fourteen days of the prize draw HostelBookers reserves the right to conduct another prize draw to determine a new winner.
17. HostelBookers act as a booking agent on behalf of our Supplier(s). We do not operate any of the services ourselves. For all bookings your contract will be with the Supplier(s) concerned. The suppliers booking conditions will apply to your contract and details can be obtained on request.
18. Normal HostelBookers terms and conditions apply.
19. Travel insurance is not included in the prize and it is the responsibility of the prize winners to arrange suitable cover for their needs.
20. Participants are recommended to check the up to date position on visa, passport and health requirements, with the Supplier(s) concerned, Passport Office, appropriate embassy or consulate or your doctor as applicable in good time before departure.
21. HostelBookers reserve the right to refuse entry to participants.
