They'll probably just add the nectar points on then, rather than have the hassle of doing the refund and re-purchase.

Take it all back for a refund, then buy it again using your nectar card this time. That should be enough to prove a point that their policy is a bit daft, and means more work for them. edit Ok, someone already suggested this.

got a nectar update this morning - voucher for "triple points in debenhams" how ironic!

I had heard that a while ago Debenhams wanted to opt out of the Nectar scheme but for some reason they didn't, so now they're just not promoting the fact that they're still in it. You never see any signs advertising Nectar in Debs stores and they don't ask you for a card. It's up to you to remember to give the card to them.
