Ending PCP after 4 months

Is this possible? I've had my brand new car (still under warranty) since December 2011 and it's already been recovered and been in the garage with intermittent problems. I'm dissatisfied with the service provided by the dealership I bought the car from e.g. no courtesy car without giving them 2 weeks notice, not looking at my car until 5 days after I'd got it to them, garage not having a recovery vehicle meaning I had to drive it there (still drivable but sluggish, with two warning lights) despite the car being recovered the previous evening being told not to drive it as it may void my warranty and loads more things I am not happy about.

What car was it? from what i understand you should be able to reject the car within reason if it has been back to the garage more than 3 times within 3 months and they have not been able to fix it

Very few dealerships have recovery these days which is why a new car comes with AA / RAC or such like, they recover your car to the nearest franchised dealer.

It's a Fiat 500 Twinair Lounge. So far it's been in once but the problem has happened twice, but the first time it disappeared so ignored it.

I have this but I didn't know that they will only recover you once. When they recovered my car, the garage was closed so the driver took me and the car to my home and said I would be able to get the garage to collect it the next day.

They have x3 attempts to fix a problem, even vw dont offer recovery.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Hi I hope you dont mind me asking, you're not one of the buyers of the fiat 500 whom bought it as a city car are you?

Short runs does it no good whatsoever and results in warning lights coming on, it needs long runs to keep it running well(not what it was sold as)

I drive a 35 - 45 minute journey twice a day, 5 times a week to get to work so I don't think that is a short run? The warning lights actually came on a few days after I'd got back from driving it to Blackpool from Rugby, only stopping once halfway at services so it's had very long run so I don't think that can be the problem. They said it had throttle problems and they've reset some parameters

I can understand that its frustrating when a new car has problems but you have to remember that there is a lot of things that can go wrong on them hence you have a warranty. If somethings not quite right phone your dealer dont ignore it and hope it goes away. You shouldnt immediately decide that you want rid after one problem.

I have a 2 year old car and its been back numerous times to the dealers because the slightest niggle and i get it sorted, it helps i live close by to the dealers so can pop in.

If you dont have any luck with your dealership then contact fiat direct www. fiat.co.uk/ contact-fiat/(obviously remove the spaces) and go to the need some help link.

If your still not happy after this you can speak to your finance company as they have a vested interest in the car and can put pressure on to get things sorted. I know a few people who have had to use this route.

I did phone the dealer the first time the problem happened and they just said to fill it with more petrol and drive it to see if problem goes away.

My dealership is a 20 minute drive away.

I'm just not happy with the fact that when I bought the car the salesman said if there is any problems and it needs looking at, I will get a courtesy car then. They did not give me one so I was late for work as had to get the bus which is a 40 minute walk to get to the bus stop, 1 hour on the bus then 20 minute walk to work when it's usually only a journey that takes 35 minutes in the car. I'm effectively paying for a car and paying for the bus on top.
