'So, one day I went out and bought a small inflatable boat and filled that with bubble bath etc lol.'
A boat was my paddling pool. God knows why my parents bought it as they never allowed us to use it as a boat incase we floated away and drowned! But in the hot summer of 76 it was filled with water in the back garden and two of us could sit in it to cool down.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.

Do you take the dishes out first or is it only posh people who do that? :rotfl:My friends still bath their littl’uns in the kitchen sink! They say it’s a waste of water to run a bath even a couple of inches deep! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I've just turned 39 and we all used to use a tin bath in front of the fire.
My mother still has it in her shed.
It wasn't an insult at all. Lots of us used them in the 70s and in the 60s when you were born. It wasn't unusual and she probably thinks you're a bit odd for reacting in the way that you did."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
