Worcester Bosch 28cdi boiler releasing steam

Hi all, I have a Worcester Bosch 28cdi, it works fine for most of the time but every now and again (once a month) the Rads and hot water stop working and the boiler releases lots of steam from a small valve at the top. That normally goes on for a few mins the lights flash on the boiler, I then press the reset button and…

Thanks canucklehead, I was worried there was something further wrong with the boiler. As it happened we moved into this house (2 year old boiler) and found the hot water was intermittent, contacted Potterton (performa 28i) who offered for a £200 a fix and year's warrenty. When they came to fix the siezed valve they noticed the heat exchanger needed replacing so that was probably good value!

Now you've explained its the tap thats dodgy, I'll just accept its wierd that that is the only tap that produces cloudy water, shower bath and other sinks are fine.
