I would suggest not buying with so many people it is bound to cause problems with arguements about internal decoration, use of the property, wear and tear, need to sell etc etc.

I own some land that I inherited via my family, my portion is about a tenth there are occasional requests from builders for options and these always cause disputes about when, how how much. It's just not worth the hassle.n

Two years ago I bought a French property using a french mortgage. As my username implies I was and still am a complete novice in money matters. Basically the french system is so different , it is worth being wary off , in my opinion. Once you take out a mortgage there is no flexability to change or renegioiate the mortgage on the property.One stakeholder was complex but with the number of investors you are quoting - nightmare comes to mind

Now my circumstances have changed , retired due to health, I am hoping I can raise a loan/mortgage on UK property to pay off the french mortgage. Obviously that has its own issues.
