SKY & NTL Row

Can someone tell what rights do customers have over this latest row?

I'm an NTL customer and as from today can't watch certain programs because SKY have taken it off screen to NTL customers.

Are NTL in breach of contract with customers or can customers get
compensation, it's not the customer fault that the two companies can't agree.

Although there are a few threads here at MSE I would head over to DigitalSpy where there are a couple of hundred threads about the subject. You will find your answers there :)

To save you all the reading, No, you can't ask for compo.

The Terms and Conditions state they can change the services at will. Bit of a Kop out I know but you signed to say you didn't mind if they changed the line ups!

For info.. I am just as annoyed as you.

You may not get actually money back in terms of compensation but people have been successful in cancelling whilst within the contract period or getting a better deal, which could be classed as a form of compensation.

    Fair one!

I suppose that could be construed as compo. Worth a go!

t&cs state if virgin make a significant change you can cancel, virgin say this is not significant, if you believe it is significant you could write to them cancelling and threaten them if not cancelled you will put a small court claim to recover you tv bill from today until your contract end date.
If you dont ask for discount you don't get discount
