I am really fed up - I think the scrabble game on my Ipad cheats!

I was winning, fair and square last night on the hard setting and the blighter put in a word

Avysing (score 74 plus a bingo)- which only seems to be in one sonnet. ever.

However loads of words that I know to be ok it wouldnt let me have.

It just seemed to pull these random unknown words that you have to hunt down on the internet to find if it starts to lose.

One word last night was so obsure the only link i could find was somone asking if it was a valid scrabble word!

Am reminded of a time my Dad accused his computer game of scrabble of cheating. I pointed out to him that the game relies on a list of words located in its database and that such computer games are not programmed to cheat by randomly formulating a few letters to make a word up. This however got him flustered.

He correctly pointed out that the word "Qaz" is not in the English dictionary thus proving the game had cheated. However he forgot that when the computer had previously asked him if he was sure "Qaz" was a word as and when he added it, he argued it meant "rapid" as he clicked "Yes I am sure", that the computer had then proceeded to add the word "Qaz" to its database.

Still to this day he will argue that the computer cheats, particularly when he is losing a game, oblivious to the fact that computers rely on programmers and have no ability to formulate the notion of cheating or taking short cuts for no apparent reason unless specifically programmed to do so.

When my Computer Scrabble game gets too far in front, I assume the BSOD role and we are soon levelled.

On the person interreactive version, the rules are always stored under the board.
