Payment Protection

Hey
My partner is paying for payment protection on just about everything. £34 a month to barclaycard £8 to Mint and £25 on a nat west loan.
These are "protecting" about £300 a month of minimum and loan payments.
I've heard on here that many people say the PPI on cards and loans isn't worth the paper they're written on, we priced up some income protection insurance the other day and about £500 a month of cover at about £20 a month, a saving of £47 a month for "better cover"
has anyone any views on this?
Richard

Hi Richard,
I've just purchased insurance from a tip on this site and it was about £40 a month cheaper than I'd been quoted.
Go to the Insurance section on the left hand side of the page, and then find payment protection insurance .... and read through that. Will give some very helpful links and I think there's a search engine to find the policy that most suits your needs.
(I got £1250 per month cover for £20!!!)
