Hi wonder if anyone could give me some advice please?
I've been quoted £150 for a new pump and valves for my central heating and water system. This pump is located by the hot water tank and has pipes leading into the tank. Hope that explains what the pump is for!
Is the above a realistic price?

Assuming that's fitted, seems pretty good to me.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Thanks gravity I've had a second quote which is about the same £156 inc vat and inc fitting and parts. This company said they would fit a "grundfos pump" I think that's what it's called which they said was above mid range in quality. So fingers crossed I've picked someone reputable!0

I charge £160 + VAT for a standard pump change. New valves could mean draining down part of the system to replace them.
Seems very cheap to me.0 -
Are they a bona fide company you can trust? This sounds too cheap.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
